We are pleased to announce the launch of our new business consulting service for expanding businesses.  As a growing business ourselves, we fully understand how critical it is to measure how your business is performing as part of an ongoing improvement process.  We have also heard your calls for assistance and understand that you want more from your accountant than just the typical preparation of year end financial statements and tax returns.  This should really just be the starting point of a continuous improvement process to create a roadmap for reaching your business and financial goals.  The year end results should really come as no surprise when we act as your business advisor and continually review your progress throughout the year.

Our first step will be to prepare a business report card in key areas of your business based on your most recent year end data and present the results to you in a language you understand.  We’ll even compare the results to industry benchmarks made up of similar businesses so you can see how the business is performing in relation to your competitors.

Next, we will meet with you to get an in depth understanding of your business including identification of the key success factors critical to its ongoing success, future goals and plans for the business whether it be cash flow improvement, sales growth, expense minimization and your personal financial objectives.

We will then go through a number of “what if” scenarios with you to show you in real time what the financial impact of making certain key changes to your business will have.  For example, if you could increase sales by 15% what impact would that have on your business in terms of bottom line, cash flow, accounts receivable, etc.?  This is a common goal for many business owners and is often a measure of business success from one year to the next.  However, you may be surprised to find out that growth could actually negatively impact your business if you haven’t addressed other key areas before you grow. 

In Step 4 of the process we will discuss with you the goals of your business for the upcoming fiscal year and beyond whether it be to increase net cash flow by a certain amount or simply to increase net income to a certain level.  From there we will put together a road map so you know specifically what you need to do to get to where you want to be.

Bookkeeping Services

We are pleased to announce the launching of our new hassle-free bookkeeping services for existing or start-up Canadian businesses as well as foreign companies setting up Canadian operations. 

Effective bookkeeping is crucial to the success of your business. We have over 15 years of experience and provide excellent record keeping and accounting solutions.  We take care of your bookkeeping and accounting needs efficiently and accurately, so that you can focus on building your business and achieving your goals.

The way the service will work is that we will set up an accordion style file folder for you that will be custom labelled by us so that as you receive your source documents during the month you would simply file it in the respective slot. 

Once per month (or more frequently as necessary) we would send a courier to pick up the file folder with all of your documents for that month and bring it to our office for scanning and recording all transactions for the relevant period in Quickbooks and return the file folder to you.  This will include the preparation of all monthly reconciliations, management reports and tax filings as necessary for your business. 

We can be as involved as little or as much as you like.  For example, if you want to continue to do your own invoicing, we can take care of the rest.  For other businesses, we can act as your full service accounting department.

Your Quickbooks file would be stored on the server of a secure ASP that will perform nightly backups to ensure that you do not lose any entered data.  You would have the ability to access the Quickbooks file online whenever you wish if you so desire, as will we. 

This will ensure that our firm is your only point of contact for all of your bookkeeping, accounting and tax filing requirements and that we are informed of issues as they occur. This will also ensure that we will have most, if not all of the information we need to complete the year end work and corporate tax returns shortly after the year end while making things much simpler for you.
